When Survival Stops Working is my personal story of growing up in a home shaped by domestic violence, and the long journey of realising how deeply those early experiences influenced every part of my life.For years, survival was normal. It shaped the way I loved, worked, coped, and held myself together through relationship breakdowns, workplace bullying, and moments where everything felt like it was falling apart. I didn’t always see the patterns at the time—only the repetition of pain, exhaustion, and trying to keep going no matter what.This book is about the moment those survival strategies stop working. When pushing through is no longer enough. When the patterns that once protected you start to break your life instead of holding it together.It follows my process of slowly understanding where those patterns came from, how they played out in adulthood, and what it meant to begin untangling them.
